Primary Teacher (Grades 4‑5) – Subject Specialist

About the role

The school is seeking a Primary Teacher for Grades 4‑5 to deliver subject‑specific and integrated learning in line with CBSE guidelines. The role focuses on building strong conceptual understanding while supporting the academic, social and emotional development of upper‑primary students.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned subjects such as English, Mathematics, EVS/Science, Social Science, or other subjects as required.
• Prepare and deliver structured lesson plans aligned with the CBSE curriculum and school objectives.
• Use activity‑based, experiential and inquiry‑based teaching strategies to deepen conceptual understanding.
• Design age‑appropriate worksheets, assessments and project work.
• Conduct formative and summative assessments, maintain detailed student records and track progress.
• Support students in reading comprehension, writing, problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Maintain an organized, safe and student‑friendly classroom environment.
• Manage classroom discipline while promoting respect, teamwork and responsibility.
• Address diverse learning needs and ensure equal participation for all students.

Required profile

• Experience teaching primary grades (Grades 4‑5) in a CBSE‑based school.
• Ability to plan and deliver lessons across multiple subjects.
• Strong classroom management skills.
