Press Assistant - 3rd Shift

About the role

The Press Assistant supports 3rd‑shift press operations at Kendall Packaging, ensuring that equipment runs smoothly and products meet customer specifications. Working under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, you will help set up, operate, and maintain press lines in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Press Operator with setup, operation, and troubleshooting during press runs.
• Prepare inks, solvents, film, and other production materials.
• Monitor running film for flaws, splices, or defects and report issues.
• Remove completed product from the press and stage it for the next process.
• Clean presses, pumps, and surrounding work areas to maintain hygiene and efficiency.
• Pull stock and materials from storage as required.
• Accurately complete all required production and quality documentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with housekeeping standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 to 12 months of related experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to work 3rd‑shift hours and follow safety protocols.
