Power BI Developer (Remote, India)

About the role

A remote Power BI developer position based in India focuses on building dashboards and reports, data modelling and advanced analytics, while also supporting the Sales and Finance teams with data quality and CRM adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI, including advanced visualizations, KPI frameworks and drill-down/drill-through analytics.
• Build optimized data models using star schema design, managing table relationships and semantic models in the Power BI Model view.
• Use DAX to create calculated measures, KPIs and performance metrics, and design semantic models and datasets with TMDL and scalable BI architecture.
• Transform data with Power Query, pulling in data from Dynamics 365 CRM, ERP systems, Excel and databases.
• Build secure, scalable reports using row-level security, dataset management and Power BI Service deployment.
• Use advanced Excel analytics (Power Query, Power Pivot, Pivot Tables, complex formulas) for data preparation and validation.
• Analyze financial, sales and operational performance, and deliver ad-hoc analysis and executive dashboards.
• Manage stakeholder expectations through regular updates, feedback sessions and planning meetings.
• Help the Sales and Finance teams improve data accuracy in CRM, and train and support end users on CRM functionality.
