PMC Lead - PSS & Transmission Line

About the role

As the PMC Lead for Pooling Substation (PSS) and EHV Transmission Line packages, you will oversee project management and monitoring activities for large‑scale renewable energy and transmission infrastructure. You will act as the primary interface between the client, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall PMC functions for the PSS and transmission line packages, monitoring progress against schedules, milestones and contractual commitments.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, transmission line agencies, substation contractors and utility representatives, managing interfaces and resolving execution challenges.
• Ensure compliance with quality, HSE and regulatory standards, driving safety culture and quality assurance on site.
• Prepare and present progress reports, maintain project dashboards and recommend corrective actions based on performance indicators.
• Support testing, commissioning, energisation and Handover & Take‑over (HOTO) activities, ensuring documentation readiness and statutory approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in transmission and substation projects, including EHV/UHV systems.
• Proven experience in Project Management Consultancy, Owner’s Engineer or EPC project management roles.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders on large‑scale renewable energy evacuation projects.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of transmission line construction, pooling substations, testing & commissioning.
• Familiarity with HVDC converter stations, GIS substations, power transformers, shunt reactors and protection systems.
• Knowledge of SCADA, telecommunications and grid integration systems.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project and project reporting tools.
• Project management certifications such as PMP, PMI or PRINCE2.
