Plumbing MEP Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a technically strong and detail‑oriented Plumbing MEP Design Engineer to join our design consultancy team. The role focuses on complete plumbing system design for residential, commercial, hospitality, institutional and industrial projects, covering water supply, drainage, storm water, tank and pump room engineering, as well as BOQ preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Design water supply systems, including inlet/outlet layouts, demand calculations, pump selection and tank sizing.
• Create drainage and sewerage layouts, pipe sizing, venting, manhole planning and underground routing.
• Develop storm water and rainwater harvesting solutions, roof drainage, pipe sizing and discharge planning.
• Engineer sump and overhead tanks, pump rooms, transfer and booster pump calculations, and control logic.
• Prepare plumbing BOQs, quantity take‑offs, material specifications, schedules and isometric drawings.
• Coordinate with electrical, HVAC, structural and architectural teams, participate in BIM meetings and support clash detection in Revit MEP.
• Ensure compliance with NBC Part 9, CPHEEO guidelines and relevant Indian standards (IS 2065, IS 13498).

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (mandatory).
• 3–8 years of experience in plumbing/PEH MEP design consultancy.
• Proven experience on residential, commercial and hospitality projects.
• Familiarity with Indian building codes and standards.

Required skills

• Revit MEP and BIM coordination.
• Hydraulic calculations, water demand and pump head sizing.
• Pipe and fixture unit sizing for water, drainage and storm water systems.
• BOQ preparation, quantity take‑off and cost estimation.
• Isometric drawing production and schedule creation.
• Knowledge of NBC Part 9, CPHEEO, IS 2065 and IS 13498.
