Plumbing & Fire Fighting Design Engineer – EPC Building Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Plumbing & Fire Fighting Design Engineer to lead the design of water supply, drainage, and fire protection systems for EPC building projects serving government and public-sector clients. Based in our Delhi office, you will own the full design package from concept through statutory clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Estimate water demand, calculate fixture unit counts and size pipes according to NBC 2016 Part 9 and UPC‑I.
• Design domestic water, flushing, hot‑water distribution, hydro‑pneumatic systems and perform pump‑head calculations.
• Develop soil, waste and vent networks using the drainage fixture unit method; design external sewerage, storm‑water and rain‑water harvesting systems.
• Prepare fire‑protection designs in line with NBC 2016 Part 4 and relevant IS codes, including wet risers, down‑comers, hydrants, hose reels, sprinklers and fire‑pump rooms.
• Perform hydraulic calculations for hydrant and sprinkler networks using Pipenet, Elite or manual methods.
• Produce drawings, calculations, specifications, equipment schedules, BOQ and complete GFC sets in AutoCAD; manage vendor evaluation, shop‑drawing review and commissioning support.
• Prepare and submit fire department NOC documentation and follow through to approval.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Civil or Public Health Engineering.
• Minimum five years of experience designing both plumbing and fire‑fighting systems on EPC building projects.
• Proven ability to carry out independent hydraulic calculations for fire‑protection networks.
• Strong knowledge of NBC 2016 Parts 4 and 9, relevant Indian Standards and CPWD specifications.
• Direct experience preparing statutory fire‑department NOC submissions.
