Plumbing & Fire Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing & Fire Design Engineer to lead the design of plumbing and fire protection systems for large‑scale infrastructure and EPC projects. The role involves creating detailed calculations, layouts, and specifications while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and engineer plumbing and fire protection systems for infrastructure and EPC projects.
• Prepare detailed calculations, schematics, layouts, specifications, and technical reports.
• Develop AutoCAD and Revit/BIM models for hot & cold water, drainage, sewerage, fire hydrant, sprinkler, fire pump, and related systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing for plumbing and firefighting installations.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, HVAC, and architectural disciplines to resolve design clashes.
• Review project specifications, client requirements, and applicable codes (NBC, NFPA, IS) to ensure compliance.
• Prepare BOQs, equipment schedules, material specifications, and tender documentation.
• Review vendor submittals, provide engineering comments, and support construction teams with technical queries.
• Lead BIM coordination and clash detection activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection design, preferably in infrastructure, EPC, or consultancy projects.
• Strong knowledge of NBC, NFPA, IS Codes and international standards.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage design deliverables from concept to detailed engineering.
