PLC & Industry Automation Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a PLC & Industry Automation Engineer to join Bosch’s RBIC division in Kurli. The role focuses on developing, maintaining and upgrading PLC‑based control systems for manufacturing equipment, ensuring high reliability and compliance with Industry 4.0 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, modify, validate and troubleshoot PLC programs for production machines.
• Maintain PLC software, backups, version control and documentation.
• Lead machine‑control system upgrades and select automation, control and electronic components.
• Manage Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to guarantee product traceability and data integrity.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive continuous improvement of quality, productivity, cost efficiency and cycle time.
• Evaluate, validate and implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) with minimal production impact.
• Implement Industry 4.0 initiatives such as early‑warning systems, machine connectivity, data analytics, IoT and smart‑factory solutions.
• Ensure cybersecurity compliance for industrial networks, PLCs and connected equipment.
• Configure and optimise vision systems (Keyence, Cognex, Sensopart) for quality inspection.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.

Required skills

• PLC programming (STL, SFC).
• Machine controls and diagnosis.
• Electrical components and wiring.
• Communication protocols: Profibus, Ethernet, RS232.
• Vision system configuration and optimisation (Keyence, Cognex, Sensopart).
• MES management and traceability.
• Industry 4.0 technologies, IoT and data analytics.
• Cybersecurity best practices for industrial automation.
