Platform Engineer – SAP AI Core

About the role

Join SAP AI Product Engineering as a Platform Engineer working on the AI Core team. You will help build and scale the next generation of AI‑enabled services that power SAP Generative AI Hub and related products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable micro‑services for AI Core and Generative AI Hub.
• Create and optimise CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and developer productivity tooling.
• Collaborate with global teams across Germany, Singapore and India using Scrum and Agile practices.
• Develop both backend services (REST, GraphQL) and frontend components (React/Angular/Vue) to deliver a seamless developer experience.
• Perform quality assurance, troubleshoot integration issues, and continuously improve system performance and scalability.
• Contribute to release activities, DevOps tooling enhancements, and central CI/CD initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 3–7 years of hands‑on software engineering and full‑stack development experience.
• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, OOP and design patterns.
• Ability to quickly ramp up on SAP ecosystem and Business Technology Platform (BTP).

Required skills

• Programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Groovy, Bash.
• Frontend frameworks: React, Angular, Vue.
• Backend technologies: REST APIs, GraphQL, micro‑services architecture.
• Cloud‑native platforms: Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Version control and CI/CD: Git/GitHub, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Spinnaker (or similar).
