Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to join Axi’s Platform Development team in Bangalore. You will own the internal developer platform, delivering secure, self‑service Azure infrastructure through GitOps and infrastructure‑as‑code, with a target of 99.99 % uptime.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate a self‑service Azure platform using Terraform, FluxCD and Kubernetes.
• Drive cloud cost optimisation through rightsizing, autoscaling, reserved capacity and removal of idle resources.
• Maintain platform reliability by implementing SLOs, error budgets, capacity planning and disaster‑recovery testing.
• Develop Azure DevOps pipelines for one‑click releases, safe rollbacks and parameterised builds.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of hands‑on experience in platform engineering, infrastructure or related disciplines.
• Strong problem‑solving, collaboration and communication skills, with a product mindset for internal engineering customers.

Required skills

• FluxCD for GitOps‑based continuous delivery.
• Terraform for large‑scale infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Microsoft Azure services, networking, identity and governance.
• Azure DevOps pipelines and repositories.
• Kubernetes cluster deployment, operation and troubleshooting.
• Docker containerisation and image management.
• Cloud cost management and optimisation on Azure.
