Plant Operator

About the role

The Plant Operator will join Snowman Logistics’ Chennai facility to ensure smooth, safe and efficient operation of plant equipment. Working on‑site, you will monitor refrigeration units, material handling equipment and fire safety systems while coordinating with maintenance to minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine checks and adjustments on refrigeration, MHE and fire safety equipment.
• Monitor plant performance, record operational data and report anomalies.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs, maintenance records and compliance documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures, use PPE correctly and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with refrigeration systems and forklift operation.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, logs and basic operational documentation.
• Good communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
• Technical or vocational qualification in mechanical, electrical or industrial operations is preferred.
• Prior exposure to plant operations, logistics, cold‑chain or warehouse environments is an advantage.
