Plant Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Plant Manager to lead the production and day‑to‑day operations of our manufacturing unit in Butibori, Nagpur. The role focuses on driving efficiency, ensuring product quality, and advancing automation across all plant processes.

Key responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for plant production, operations, and achievement of daily/monthly targets.
• Plan and monitor production for roasting, extrusion, drying, grinding, blending, and packing.
• Manage manpower, shift schedules, and labour productivity.
• Track production efficiency, yield, waste, energy use, and downtime.
• Ensure preventive maintenance and smooth operation of all plant machinery.
• Coordinate activities between Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Dispatch.
• Implement and monitor SOPs, process controls, safety, housekeeping, and statutory compliance.
• Identify opportunities for automation, manpower optimisation, and cost reduction.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and report performance metrics to management.

Required profile

• Graduate/Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Chemical, Mechanical, Production or related discipline.
• 8–15+ years of manufacturing experience with plant‑management responsibilities.
• Hands‑on experience in roasting and extrusion processes; preference for candidates from the starch or modified‑starch industry.
• Knowledge of starch products such as pre‑gelatinized starch, dextrins, drilling starch, CMS, etc., is an advantage.
• Strong leadership with a practical, shop‑floor‑oriented approach.
