Physical Security Systems SME & Trainer

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking a Physical Security Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Trainer to lead technical knowledge and training for physical security solutions within Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS). You will act as the primary authority on access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and system integration, ensuring internal teams and external partners are equipped to operate and maintain secure, compliant environments.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the technical advisor for physical security hardware and software, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems.
• Design, develop, and deliver structured training programs for engineers, operators, and facility managers.
• Conduct workshops, seminars, and hands‑on sessions to transfer knowledge and build capability.
• Provide guidance on integrating security systems with HVAC, lighting, and fire safety using IBMS protocols.
• Ensure all training and system operations comply with ISO 27001, OSHA, and local regulations.
• Create and maintain manuals, SOPs, and e‑learning content for ongoing knowledge retention.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians, supporting their career development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or IT.
• 7–10 years of experience in physical security systems within IBMS environments.
• Proven track record in training delivery and curriculum development.
• Relevant certifications such as PSP, CCNA, or vendor‑specific credentials (Honeywell, Schneider, Johnson Controls).
