Phlebotomist

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Phlebotomist to collect blood, urine, stool and other pathology samples, ensure accurate labeling and safe handling, and support laboratory operations throughout Indore.

Key responsibilities

• Collect blood, urine, stool and other pathology-related samples according to protocol.
• Assess patients, take detailed medical histories, and prepare puncture sites.
• Label all specimens correctly and follow biomedical waste (BMW) protocols.
• Conduct home visits and travel within assigned areas for sample collection.
• Receive, manage, and assign laboratory numbers to samples across all disciplines.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and adhere to health‑safety legislation.
• Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental meetings.
• Train and assess staff on sample reception and related tasks.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the HOD or Laboratory Manager.

Required profile

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT, CMLT or BMLT).
• Previous experience in a medical laboratory setting.
• Ability to handle confidential information with care.
• Capability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively in a team.
