Pharmacist – Retail Pharmacy in Chennai

About the role

MedPlus Health Services Limited is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Pharmacist for one of its Chennai stores. You will be responsible for accurate dispensing of prescription and over‑the‑counter medicines while providing professional counsel to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and dispense prescriptions in compliance with Indian drug regulations.
• Maintain precise inventory records, monitor stock levels, and support cold‑chain storage standards.
• Provide evidence‑based guidance on generic and branded alternatives and promote wellness products.
• Ensure all transactions, billing, and documentation meet legal and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with store staff to deliver safe, efficient, and customer‑focused service.

Required profile

• Registered Pharmacist with a valid license and D.Pharm or B.Pharm degree.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, prescription interpretation, dosage calculation, and drug interactions.
• Experience in retail pharmacy operations, including dispensing, inventory management, and billing.
• Effective communication skills and ability to counsel diverse customers.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and uphold MedPlus ethical standards.
