Pharmaceutical Business Developer – Based in Qatar

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Pharmaceutical Business Developer to join our team and drive growth in the Middle East. The role will initially be based in Hyderabad, India, with relocation to Qatar to expand our pharmaceutical business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic business plans to penetrate new markets and expand existing ones.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations with key industry stakeholders.
• Conduct comprehensive market analysis to understand trends, competition, and growth areas.
• Negotiate and close deals with pharmaceutical companies, healthcare providers, and distributors.
• Manage and nurture relationships with clients, partners, and industry influencers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful product launches and market penetration.
• Monitor and report on market dynamics, competitive landscape, and business performance.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure compliance in all business development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years experience in pharmaceutical business development.
• Proven track record of identifying and closing business deals in the pharmaceutical sector.
• Strong understanding of drug development processes and regulatory affairs.
• Excellent negotiation, relationship management, communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in market analysis, strategic planning and data‑driven decision making.
• Experience with CRM software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.
• Willingness to relocate to Qatar and fluency in English; Arabic knowledge is a plus.
