Performance Engineering Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Performance Engineering Architect to join Nestlé Nespresso’s Digital & Tech team in Bengaluru. As the senior technical authority for performance engineering within the Quality Engineering organization, you will shape strategy, standards and reusable practices that enable product, engineering, DevOps, platform and QE teams to deliver performant, scalable and observable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve performance engineering architecture, standards, methodologies and reusable practices across Nespresso products and platforms.
• Establish performance validation approaches for load, stress, endurance, scalability, resilience and regression scenarios.
• Support product and engineering teams in defining measurable non‑functional requirements, workload models and performance objectives.
• Integrate performance checks into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Set observability and telemetry expectations using logs, traces, metrics and APM insights.
• Apply AI‑powered capabilities for performance analysis, anomaly detection and capacity forecasting.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the Senior Performance Test Engineer and coach cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in performance engineering, quality engineering or related technical domains.
• Proven track record defining and implementing performance engineering strategies, architectures and standards at scale.
• Strong experience with load, stress, endurance, scalability, resilience and performance regression testing.
• Hands‑on experience with observability, telemetry, monitoring and APM platforms such as Grafana or Dynatrace.
• Experience integrating performance validation into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
