People & Culture Specialist – Experience & Performance

About the role

Baker Hughes is seeking a People & Culture Specialist focused on Experience & Performance to join its Pune team. Reporting to the P&C XP Leader – India, you will partner with business leaders and regional HR functions to deliver employee support excellence across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in senior management discussions, providing HR insight for regional projects, long‑term planning and employee engagement initiatives.
• Advise on workforce planning, reorganisations, M&A activities, bid processes and talent pipelines.
• Guide employee movements such as promotions, salary adjustments and workforce planning, ensuring timely execution.
• Support HR diligence, integration, and transformation initiatives.
• Lead the evolution of HR programs, project‑manage business HR initiatives and recommend regional policy updates in line with local legislation.
• Create knowledge articles, update country HR manuals and handle escalated Tier 2 cases within defined SLAs.
• Provide compliant, effective solutions for business challenges not covered by existing policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology or a related field.
• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner with a talent‑focused mindset.
• Strong stakeholder management, commercial acumen and analytical abilities.
• Ability to balance hands‑on execution with strategic thinking.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
