Payroll Team Lead – Outsourcing (Bangalore)

About the role

Paybooks, part of the TransPerfect family, is looking for a Payroll Team Lead to drive its outsourcing payroll services in Bangalore. The role combines leadership of a payroll processing team with direct client interaction, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of payroll processors, assigning daily tasks and monitoring deadlines.
• Conduct performance evaluations and arrange training opportunities for team members.
• Oversee end‑to‑end payroll processing for multiple clients, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance with tax regulations and internal policies.
• Review payroll reports, resolve discrepancies, and manage bonuses, commissions, benefits, and deductions.
• Serve as the first escalation point for client payroll inquiries, communicating updates and handling issues promptly.
