Patent Officer (Equity-Based, Remote)

About the role

Kefilo is building a human transformation ecosystem focused on functional nutrition and innovative food technology. As a Patent Officer you will join the founding team on an equity‑only basis, working remotely to protect and commercialise the company’s intellectual property.

Key responsibilities

• Identify patentable innovations across products, processes, technologies and systems.
• Conduct prior‑art and patent‑landscape research to assess novelty and commercial potential.
• Build and maintain documentation systems for innovation tracking.
• Support the preparation and filing of patent applications.
• Develop and execute an IP strategy aligned with business goals.
• Perform competitive intelligence and technology scouting.
• Manage IP commercialization opportunities and long‑term portfolio development.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in intellectual property, patent analysis or related fields.
• Strong understanding of patent processes and prior‑art search techniques.
• Ability to work independently with founders, scientists and product teams.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
