Part-Time Dietary Aide

About the role

The John M. Parrott Centre is seeking a part‑time Dietary Aide to join its Food Services team. You will help deliver nutritious meals to residents and guests in a supportive, state‑of‑the‑art long‑term care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Portion and serve meals accurately to residents and guests.
• Set and clear tables, maintain clean and sanitized dining and work areas.
• Assist with dishwashing and prepare daily nourishment stations.
• Follow Public Health and Ministry of Health dietary compliance standards.
• Contribute positively to the Dietary Services team and attend to assigned duties.

Required profile

• Current Safe Food Handler Certificate.
• Food Service Worker Certificate or enrollment in a recognized program within three months of start date.
• Secondary school graduation or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience operating kitchen equipment and prior food‑service work in a dining‑room setting.
• Strong communication skills in English and understanding of senior‑population needs.
• Ability to work patiently and tactfully with residents, guests, and staff.
