Part-time Chess Teacher (20 hrs/week)

About the role

Openhouse is looking for enthusiastic educators to deliver engaging chess classes for children. You will help develop strategic thinking, problem‑solving and confidence through a structured curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver chess classes using the Openhouse curriculum, covering piece movement, tactics, strategy and game analysis.
• Monitor student progress, maintain records and provide regular feedback to parents and management.
• Engage with parents during feedback sessions, workshops and events.
• Collaborate with the management team on student trials, admissions and scheduling.
• Organise and prepare students for friendly matches, competitions and showcase events.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about teaching chess and fostering critical thinking in children.
• Comfortable preparing lesson plans and conducting classes independently.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with parents and team members.
• Available to work any five weekdays, 4 hours per day, within the specified time slots.
