Paralegal II – IP Analytics

About the role

The Paralegal II will support Honeywell's IP Analytics team by managing patent‑related administrative processes, coordinating with outside counsel, and ensuring compliance with global IP regulations. This position is critical for the smooth operation of invention disclosures, patent filings, and award administration.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in Invention Disclosure and Patent Committee meetings; maintain active WIDS lists and notes.
• Schedule patent committee sessions, distribute agendas, and send authorized filings to external counsel.
• Manage foreign filing deadlines, generate docket reports, and communicate filing instructions.
• Calculate and process patent filing awards, entering amounts into payroll and notifying site leaders.
• Quarterly review of patent maintenance fees, generate reports, and track cost savings.
• Produce periodic patent reports and bulletins for R&D leads.
• Maintain the local patent drive with novelty searches, filing documents, and passport numbers.
• Track invoice accuracy, assist analytics leaders with billing inputs, and create project tickets.

Required profile

• Familiarity with rules and procedures of major patent offices worldwide.
• Strong understanding of patent filing, IP clearances, and search‑analytics activities.
• Experience handling time‑critical, data‑intensive tasks with high accuracy.
• Proficiency working with large databases and commercial IP management systems.

Required skills

• IP management platforms (e.g., IP Folio, IP Manager, CPA, Aanaqua, CPI).
• Advanced MS Office usage, especially MS Excel.
• Experience with large database manipulation.
