Painter – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

The Painter will be based on‑site at The Fern Hotels & Resorts in Jaisalmer, responsible for delivering high‑quality paint finishes across interior and exterior areas of the property. This full‑time position supports ongoing renovations, touch‑ups and preventive maintenance while ensuring minimal disruption to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching and priming walls, ceilings, wood, metal and other substrates.
• Mix, match and apply paints, stains, varnishes and finishes using brush, roller or spray techniques.
• Inspect areas for repair, fill cracks and holes, and perform minor plaster and putty work.
• Maintain clean, precise edges and uniform coverage on doors, furniture and fixtures.
• Care for painting tools and equipment, ensuring they are stored safely and in good condition.
• Follow safety and environmental guidelines, including proper use of ladders, scaffolding and personal protective equipment.
• Coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping teams to schedule work and minimise guest impact.

Required profile

• Proven experience in surface preparation and painting for hospitality, facility maintenance or construction.
• Ability to read work orders, basic drawings and colour schemes, and estimate materials and time.
• Strong attention to detail, time‑management skills and ability to keep work areas tidy.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
