Packing Operator

About the role

The Packing Operator will run and monitor packaging equipment in Sid’s Farm’s dairy plant, ensuring that milk, curd, butter, cheese, ghee and other dairy items are packed hygienically, accurately and efficiently. The role supports production targets while complying with food‑safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate packing machines for various dairy products and set them up for different pack sizes and product variants according to the production plan.
• Ensure correct weight, sealing, labeling and coding of each packed unit.
• Maintain strict hygiene and food‑safety standards (FSSAI, GMP, HACCP) and perform routine cleaning and sanitation of machines and surrounding areas.
• Monitor machine performance, record production data, wastage and downtime, and report any breakdowns or abnormalities to the maintenance team.
• Assist with minor troubleshooting, changeovers and coordinate with quality, production and maintenance teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 10th/12th pass; ITI (Fitter/Electrical/Mechanical/Dairy Processing) preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in packing or production operations, preferably in dairy or food‑processing; freshers may be considered with relevant training.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of packing machines (form‑fill‑seal, pouch, cup, bottle).
• Understanding of food‑safety and hygiene practices, including FSSAI, GMP and HACCP standards.
• Ability to read production documents and standard operating procedures.
