Packaging Operator

About the role

The Packaging Operator ensures safe and efficient operation of packaging lines to deliver high‑quality products that meet Mars’ standards for quality, food safety and operational excellence. Working on a rotating set of tasks, you will support production targets while maintaining strict safety and traceability requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor packaging equipment such as baggers, conveyors, check weighers, metal detectors and palletizers.
• Maintain product quality and meet packaging, coding, labeling and traceability specifications.
• Perform product changeovers, line clearances and achieve daily production targets.
• Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication and basic equipment checks; support maintenance teams in troubleshooting.
• Apply 5S principles to keep the workplace organized and perform weekly GMP cleaning.
• Participate in FMOS activities, daily direction‑setting meetings and continuous‑improvement projects, focusing on OEE enhancement.
• Accurately record production data, downtime, quality deviations and ensure audit compliance.

Required profile

• 3–8 years of experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, pharmaceuticals or automated production environments.
• Hands‑on experience with automated packaging equipment preferred.
• BTech or Diploma in Electrical, Communication or Instrumentation.

Required skills

• Automated packaging equipment operation (baggers, conveyors, check weighers, metal detectors, palletizers).
• Basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• 5S workplace organization.
• OEE improvement and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Production documentation and compliance reporting.
