Outbound & Export‑Import Executive

About the role

This position is at the core of DI Systems, responsible for executing import and export operation plans in the ERP system to ensure on‑time material availability from ports to the production line. The role also drives continuous improvement through projects that enhance the overall import‑export process.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement import/export strategies aligned with organisational goals.
• Create and manage shipping documents in SAP (or equivalent) for timely outbound shipments.
• Coordinate with customs house agents to secure on‑time clearances and cost‑effective transportation.
• Interface with shipping lines and freight forwarders for vessel selection, rate negotiation and damage‑free transit.
• Prepare and maintain all import/export documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Handle break‑bulk, project cargo and dangerous goods shipments.
• Update import‑export master data in SAP, process e‑way bills and ensure correct HSN declarations.
• Participate in internal and external audits, support Kaizen initiatives and maintain ISO/EHS/FDA compliance.
• Collaborate with planning, warehouse, customer service and sales teams to ensure seamless order‑to‑cash execution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in import and export operations, including handling break‑bulk, project cargo and dangerous goods.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, health & safety standards and audit requirements.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with internal and external partners.
• Experience managing a logistics team of at least five members.

Required skills

• SAP (ERP) for import‑export master data and shipping documentation.
• E‑way bill processing.
• HSN code declaration and customs clearance procedures.
• Dangerous goods (DG) handling and documentation.
• Import/export documentation preparation and maintenance.
