OTC Controller (Order-to-Cash Leader)

About the role

The Order-to-Cash (OTC) Controller will lead end‑to‑end revenue‑cycle operations for Johnson Controls’ UK and US entities. You will ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient execution of customer onboarding, billing, collections, and cash application while driving working‑capital improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full OTC lifecycle: customer master data governance, order management, invoicing, credit management, collections, dispute resolution, cash application and reconciliation.
• Ensure adherence to standardized global processes across UK and US customer portfolios.
• Drive DSO reduction, overdue collections, and cash‑flow optimisation through regular reviews of aged receivables, bad‑debt provisions and collection metrics.
• Maintain strong internal controls and SOX compliance, including segregation of duties, approval workflows and audit trails.
• Partner with UK & US business leaders, sales, operations and customer‑success teams to align on billing accuracy and improve the customer experience.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives such as automation of billing and cash‑application, ERP optimisation (Sage Intact) and standardisation of global OTC processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading OTC or revenue‑cycle functions in a multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of UK and US finance regulations and SOX governance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑functional stakeholders and drive process transformation.
