OT Nurse – Circulator (Operating Room)

About the role

The Operating Theatre (OT) Nurse – Circulator will support surgical teams across multiple operating rooms, primarily handling cardiac and orthopaedic cases. This role ensures patient safety, maintains sterile environments, and facilitates efficient workflow during procedures, including those involving robotic surgery technology.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the circulator in various ORs, managing equipment, supplies, and patient positioning.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anaesthetists and nursing staff to ensure smooth operation of cardiac and orthopaedic lists.
• Monitor patient vitals and assist with intra‑operative documentation.
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field, adhering to infection‑control protocols.
• Provide support for robotic surgery cases, ensuring proper setup and troubleshooting of equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing).
• Minimum of three years’ experience as an OT nurse, preferably in a multi‑OR environment.
• Demonstrated experience with cardiac and orthopaedic surgical lists.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain high standards of patient care.

Required skills

• Robotic surgery exposure and familiarity with related equipment.
