Operator – Manufacturing (Medical Devices)

About the role

Essity is seeking an experienced Operator to work on a production line that manufactures medical device components. The role involves operating, setting up, monitoring and troubleshooting machines and ancillary equipment in a shift environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate process and equipment efficiently while applying required standards.
• Set up, monitor and troubleshoot ancillary machines such as printers associated with the main production line.
• Perform tool changeovers on machines, excluding those requiring expert technical skills.
• Ensure material and resource availability for effective machine operation.
• Check product quality against specifications and reject or block non‑conforming items.
• Complete required documentation and data files (BMR, inspection reports, loss data, etc.).
• Handle rework of quarantined material within the shift and ensure its clearance.
• Support investigation of process failures, CAPA, complaints and other deviations.
• Maintain Good Hygiene Practice (GHP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Communicate effectively with previous and next shifts and guide packing line members.

Required profile

• High School plus ITI or diploma in mechanical/electrical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating machines in a manufacturing unit.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal settings.
• Ability to take initiative and solve problems independently.
• Willingness to work in shift operations.
