Operator Advance

About the role

Essity is seeking an experienced Operator Advance to join its manufacturing plant in Ponda, Goa. The role involves operating and supporting production lines that manufacture medical‑device products, ensuring compliance with fixed specifications and standard operating procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Operate process equipment and ancillary machines (e.g., printers) efficiently and safely.
• Set‑up, monitor and troubleshoot machines, including tool changeovers that do not require expert technical skills.
• Ensure material and resource availability for uninterrupted production.
• Check product quality against specifications, reject or block non‑conforming items, and manage rework of quarantined material during the shift.
• Complete required documentation such as batch manufacturing records, in‑process inspection reports, loss data, and failure registers.
• Communicate shift information to preceding and succeeding teams and support investigations for CAPA, complaints or deviations.
• Maintain Good Hygiene Practice (GHP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards throughout the shift.

Required profile

• High School education plus ITI or diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment, preferably with medical‑device products.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, blue‑collar setting and follow safety and quality standards.
