Operations Manager – Quantum Fabrication Facility

About the role

QPIAI India is building indigenous quantum processors and full‑stack quantum computers in India. The Operations Manager will ensure the cleanroom facility runs smoothly while leading capital‑expansion projects that grow the fab’s capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Own daily cleanroom operations: environmental monitoring, gowning, contamination‑control, particle‑count and utility tracking.
• Manage facility systems with vendors – HVAC, ultrapure water, process gases, chilled water, vacuum, power redundancy, vibration and EMI control.
• Drive tool uptime through preventive maintenance, service contracts, spare‑parts inventory, calibration records and root‑cause analysis of downtime.
• Oversee procurement and logistics for chemicals, gases, substrates and consumables, including import documentation and hazardous‑material handling.
• Maintain EHS compliance, chemical and gas safety, statutory approvals, incident reporting and emergency drills.
• Plan and deliver fab expansion and upgrade projects: scope, budget, schedule, risk register and handover to operations.
• Run capital equipment projects from specification and vendor selection through installation, commissioning and qualification.
• Coordinate contractors, OEM teams, work permits and safety compliance for project activities inside a live fab.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing cleanroom or high‑tech manufacturing operations.
• Strong project‑management background with end‑to‑end delivery of capital‑intensive projects.
• Excellent understanding of EHS regulations and hazardous‑material handling.
• Ability to work with multiple infrastructure vendors and cross‑functional teams.
