Operations Finance FP&A Controller – India

About the role

Alstom is seeking an Operations Finance FP&A Controller to join its India team. You will work closely with site and HQ functions, analysing operational KPIs, managing month‑end close, and supporting business profitability through cost optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Drive operational KPIs within approved budgets, covering physicals, inventory, capex, production overheads, workload and S&A expenses.
• Coordinate month‑end closing activities across all India sites and ensure timely reporting of actuals, budgets and forecasts.
• Perform deep‑dive analyses of operational KPIs, validate figures and trigger corrective actions.
• Lead operational performance reviews and contribute to Cluster Business Reviews with insights on risks and opportunities.
• Manage and control HQ books while enforcing financial governance and cost‑optimisation initiatives.
• Initiate and monitor cost‑optimisation strategies across sites to improve efficiency and profitability.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• 3‑5 years of post‑qualification experience in finance.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting and operational KPI management.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting insights and driving actions.
