Operational Buyer

About the role

Alfa Laval is seeking an experienced Operational Buyer to manage procurement for E&S projects in Pune. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and ensuring timely delivery of mechanical and electrical components while meeting quality, cost and delivery expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Review project specifications, collaborate with design and quality teams, and obtain technical approvals.
• Conduct supplier scouting, evaluation, qualification and onboarding; negotiate commercial terms and prepare techno‑commercial comparison sheets.
• Place purchase orders, track deliveries, manage logistics, and resolve any delays or non‑conformities.
• Monitor supplier performance, drive continuous improvement, and support ISO compliance and inventory optimisation initiatives.

Required profile

• 8‑12 years of procurement experience in industrial projects.
• B.E. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder relationships.
