About the role
The Office Assistant provides essential administrative support in a school environment, ensuring smooth communication and timely handling of student health inquiries and general office tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Screen, transfer, and respond to calls from students, parents, and staff.
- Take messages, answer inquiries, and provide information about school activities.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and distribution of materials.
- Communicate updates and requests to the site administrator and other personnel.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of student health information.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Verification of a college degree, 48 college units, or successful passage of the District Proficiency Exam.
- Typing certificate demonstrating at least 40 words per minute (in‑person test).
- Completed Classified Employment Application, current resume, and three recent letters of recommendation (one from a direct supervisor).
- Letter of introduction.
Required skills
- Typing (minimum 40 wpm).
What we offer
- Full‑time schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
