NVH CAE Engineer – Vehicle Noise & Vibration Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated NVH CAE Engineer to join our CAE Body Performance Development team. The role involves supporting clients on vehicle NVH load cases, analysing results, preparing detailed engineering reports and recommending design counter‑measures to meet or exceed NVH targets.

Key responsibilities

• Handle full‑vehicle and subsystem NVH load cases using Nastran (SOL101, SOL103, SOL108, SOL111 & SOL200) and OptiStrut.
• Perform model assembly and integration for BIW, trim, full vehicle, body‑powertrain and structure‑fluid coupling.
• Build and evaluate FE models ensuring high‑quality meshing, correct material properties and accurate connections.
• Generate acoustic cavity models with proper measurement point positioning and evaluate subsystem models.
• Conduct modal analysis, frequency‑response, dynamic stiffness, road‑noise and powertrain noise simulations.
• Post‑process results, interpret FRFs, transfer functions, sound‑pressure levels and perform transfer‑path analysis.
• Lead NVH simulation projects, prepare technical reports and present findings to clients.
• Provide structural design counter‑measures and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of vehicle‑level NVH analysis experience.
• Strong understanding of structural mechanics, finite‑element methods, material modelling and connections.
• Hands‑on experience with ANSA/HyperMesh pre‑processing and META/HyperView post‑processing.
• Ability to interpret simulation results including stress, deformation, acceleration and acoustic metrics.
• Analytical mindset with strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Advanced English communication skills.
