Nurse Intern

About the role

ApoKOS Rehabilitation is seeking a motivated Nurse Intern to join its multidisciplinary team in Hyderabad. This full‑time, on‑site position offers hands‑on experience in a leading rehabilitation hospital, supporting patients across neurological, orthopedic, stroke and geriatric care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist registered nurses with patient care, including monitoring vital signs and documenting observations.
• Support patients with activities of daily living and prepare them for rehabilitation, occupational and speech therapy sessions.
• Maintain a safe environment, follow infection‑control protocols, and ensure equipment and supplies are ready for use.
• Participate in patient education under supervision and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to address patient needs promptly.
• Adhere to hospital policies, care plans and documentation standards.

Required profile

• Foundational clinical skills such as basic patient assessment, vital‑sign monitoring and safe patient handling.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with patients, families and care teams.
• Knowledge or exposure to rehabilitation nursing concepts (neurological, orthopedic, stroke, geriatric).
• Sound ethical judgment, attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (in progress or recently completed) with eligibility to register with the relevant nursing council.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Hyderabad on a shift‑based schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Previous internship, clinical posting or hospital exposure in rehabilitation or acute care is an advantage.
