About the role
Applied Materials is seeking a Non‑tech Project/Program Manager (B3) to lead and coordinate projects and programs that support semiconductor and advanced display technologies. The role focuses on defining objectives, planning resources, and ensuring successful delivery within a supportive, innovative environment.
Key responsibilities
- Ensures that specific project and program objectives are defined for areas of responsibility, including outcomes, milestones, viability studies, and resource planning.
- Ensures that all projects and programs are completed in accordance with predetermined requirements, focusing on product/process specifications, costs, resource utilization, and timeliness.
- Documents all phases of project, program, and process development and disseminates information to other functional areas as appropriate.
- Ensures compliance with company policies regarding engineering/lab notebooks, patents, confidentiality, and safety.
- Manages effective utilization of material and financial resources.
- Collaborates with other staff to maximize productivity for the project/program.
Required profile
- Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
- Understands best practices and how own area integrates with others; aware of competition and market differentiators.
- Acts as a resource for less experienced colleagues and may lead small projects with manageable risks.
- Solves complex problems, takes new perspectives, and exercises judgment based on multiple information sources.
- Impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and related teams, working within broad guidelines.
- Communicates difficult or sensitive information effectively and works to build consensus.
