News Anchor

About the role

NewsAlert24x7 is seeking a full‑time, on‑site News Anchor to deliver live bulletins, podcasts and special segments to a multilingual audience. The anchor will work closely with reporters, producers and editors to ensure accurate, unbiased coverage across politics, business, technology, entertainment and social issues.

Key responsibilities

• Research, verify and script news stories for live on‑air delivery.
• Present breaking news updates in real time, maintaining a neutral and professional tone.
• Interview guests, moderate panel discussions and adapt content for multiple languages when required.
• Collaborate with newsroom teams, attend editorial meetings and support overall production workflows.

Required profile

• Strong reporting and fact‑checking abilities with a background in broadcast journalism.
• Excellent verbal communication in English; proficiency in Hindi and Odia is highly preferred.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, handle breaking news situations and adapt quickly to changing agendas.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies or equivalent professional experience.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience in on‑air presenting and news writing.
• Familiarity with digital news platforms, social media and basic newsroom production tools.
• Strong ethical judgment and commitment to unbiased reporting.
