New Product Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a New Product Manufacturing Engineer to develop and release new product BOMs, create operation method sheets, and support manufacturing of moderately complex assemblies in Bangalore.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and release new product BOMs for moderately complex assemblies under management supervision.
• Create and validate Operation Method Sheets (OMS) for these assemblies.
• Partner with senior NPMEs on 3D solid model virtual analysis, including Master Layout (MLO) and Digital Mock Up (DMU), and provide design feedback.
• Manage change requests, including NSRs, ECOs, CCB, SPS, and ESWs.
• Lead the Managed Build process for assemblies/modules and provide technical support and training to manufacturing resources.

Required profile

• Ability to work standing for extended periods, in tight spaces, and in a clean‑room environment with required PPE.
• Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in manufacturing engineering and can solve straightforward problems using technical judgment.

Required skills

• BOM development and release.
• Operation Method Sheet (OMS) creation.
• 3D solid modeling, Master Layout (MLO) and Digital Mock Up (DMU).
• Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Test (DFTp), and ITO analysis.
• Engineering change management (NSR, ECO, CCB, SPS, ESW).
