New Product Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

The New Product Manufacturing Engineer (NPME) supports the introduction of new products from design through manufacturing readiness and production release. The role works closely with design, operations, supply chain, quality and suppliers to develop robust manufacturing solutions and resolve early‑stage issues.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and release new product Bills of Material (BOM) for simple to moderately complex assemblies.
• Support manufacturing, test and sourcing strategies in collaboration with senior NPMEs.
• Create, validate and release Operation Method Sheets (OMS) and related build/test documentation.
• Participate in design reviews, providing DFx feedback to improve manufacturability, cost, quality and cycle time.
• Execute change‑control processes (ECRs, NSRs, ESWs) and manage managed‑build activities.
• Provide hands‑on floor support, document manufacturing issues and assist with root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical or related engineering discipline.
• 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, NPI or a related engineering role.

Required skills

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and Design‑for‑Excellence (DFx) principles.
• Experience with BOM structures, Operation Method Sheets (OMS) and engineering documentation.
• Familiarity with change‑control workflows (ECO, NSR, ESW).
• Proficiency with CAD viewers, PLM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and basic electrical or pneumatic schematics.
