Music Teacher

About the role

The Music Teacher will deliver engaging, high‑quality music instruction to K‑12 students, inspiring them to explore music as an art form and means of expression. The role includes teaching theory, performance, leading ensembles or choirs, and integrating music across the broader curriculum while fostering creativity, discipline, and intercultural understanding.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver music lessons aligned with IB, Cambridge or national curriculum standards.
• Teach music theory, appreciation, vocal and instrumental skills to diverse age groups.
• Develop and adapt lesson plans to accommodate varied learning styles and skill levels.
• Integrate technology such as music composition software and smart‑boards into instruction.
• Encourage creativity, self‑expression and confidence through individual and group performances.
• Organise and direct school concerts, recitals, assemblies and cultural events.
• Prepare students for internal and external performances, competitions and examinations.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to enrich the school’s artistic programme.

Required profile

• Passion for music education and ability to inspire students.
• Familiarity with international curricula (IB, Cambridge) and school‑wide artistic goals.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse age groups.
• Commitment to fostering creativity, discipline and intercultural understanding.

Required skills

• Proficiency with music composition software.
• Experience using smart‑board technology in the classroom.
