Motion Designer

About the role

Sarvam is building a sovereign AI platform for India and needs a Motion Designer to give its brand a living, moving identity. You will create the motion language that defines how the monogram, gradients and visual elements behave across films, web, and product experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Define and document a reusable motion language, including timing, easing, entrances, transitions and gradient behavior.
• Concept, storyboard, animate, edit, add sound and deliver brand films for model launches, product announcements and events.
• Design and implement web animation, scroll behavior, UI micro‑interactions and demo videos, ensuring they meet engineering constraints.
• Hand off motion assets in production‑ready formats such as Lottie, Rive or sprite sequences for developers.
• Visualise speech for multilingual voice agents, creating unique motion representations beyond generic waveforms.
• Integrate AI tools into the motion pipeline for generative video, upscaling and variation while managing cost‑benefit trade‑offs.
• Collaborate across design, marketing, product, research and leadership teams on tight deadlines.

Required profile

• 3+ years of motion design experience in‑house or at an agency, with a reel showing narrative work and product‑oriented motion.
• Deep expertise in After Effects (shape layers, expressions, rigging) and strong editing skills in Premiere or Resolve.
• Proficiency in Figma; Illustrator and Photoshop for asset creation and cleanup.
• Strong fundamentals – timing, weight, staging, anticipation and typographic motion.
• Fluent use of AI tools within a professional motion workflow and a systems‑thinking mindset.
• Passion for shaping Indian design language in motion.
