Model-Based Design Engineer (MBD)

About the role

We are looking for a Model-Based Design (MBD) Engineer to join our Bangalore team. You will translate high‑level requirements into robust Simulink models and lead model‑based testing activities for automotive and industrial solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Convert complex specifications into structured Simulink and Stateflow models following MAAB guidelines.
• Develop and maintain custom MATLAB M‑scripts and automation tools for modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
• Lead Model‑Based Testing (MBT) efforts, create test sequences and achieve full MC/DC coverage.
• Represent the team in international forums, presenting architectural decisions and technical progress.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and testing teams to ensure seamless model integration and deployment.

Required profile

• BE/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech in Electronics or related field.
• 1‑5 years of experience in model‑based development, preferably in automotive or HVAC domains.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with global, cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Expert proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
• Experience with Simulink Test Manager and Simulink Coverage.
• Knowledge of M‑scripting and Object‑Oriented Programming in MATLAB.
• Familiarity with Embedded C, Python, and micro‑controller hardware architectures.
