Middleware Infrastructure Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Consultant to ensure the secure, efficient and uninterrupted operation of our middleware infrastructure that supports iWPB web applications. The role focuses on managing WebSphere Application Server environments across development, QA and production.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, configure and maintain WebSphere Application Server environments in dev, QA and production.
• Perform performance tuning, security hardening and regular patching of application servers.
• Troubleshoot complex application deployment issues and server‑side errors.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure compliance with HSBC internal governance standards.
• Participate in capacity planning and support disaster‑recovery drills to maintain high availability.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing WebSphere Application Server environments.
• Hands‑on experience with performance tuning, security hardening and patch management.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex deployment and server errors.
• Ability to work closely with infrastructure and security teams.
• Experience in capacity planning and disaster‑recovery activities.
