MEP Engineer – HVAC Site Supervisor

About the role

The MEP Engineer – HVAC will lead the installation and testing of heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning systems on industrial project sites. The role ensures work aligns with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards and project schedules while coordinating closely with internal teams and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret HVAC drawings and specifications and coordinate with design and execution teams to ensure conflict‑free installations.
• Supervise subcontractors, ensuring availability of materials, tools and manpower for uninterrupted site activities.
• Monitor daily progress, enforce quality compliance during equipment installation and duct fabrication.
• Support testing and commissioning, including air balancing, water balancing and functional performance testing.
• Maintain documentation such as installation checklists, test reports and material consumption records.

Required profile

• ITI/Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC specialization.
• Proficient in English; regional language knowledge preferred.
• 3–10 years of site execution experience for HVAC systems in industrial projects.
• Hands‑on experience with equipment installation, ducting, commissioning and compliance with technical standards.

Required skills

• HVAC equipment installation, ducting and piping layout.
• Air and water balancing, chiller and AHU commissioning.
• Insulation techniques.
• Knowledge of HVAC codes and standards (ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NBC).
• AutoCAD and MS Office proficiency.
• Testing and commissioning procedures, quality control and safety compliance.
• Resource planning and team coordination.
