Medical Oncologist

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Medical Oncologist to join MVR Cancer Centre & Research Institute in Kozhikode, Kerala. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive oncology care to out‑patient and in‑patient populations, working within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to high‑quality, affordable cancer treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient and inpatient consultations, assess patients and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe, administer and supervise chemotherapy and other systemic cancer therapies.
• Collaborate closely with radiation oncology and surgical oncology teams to create integrated treatment strategies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings.
• Engage in clinical research projects and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior medical staff as needed.

Required profile

• MBBS degree with recognized postgraduate qualification (MD) and DM/DrNB in Medical Oncology.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing solid and hematologic malignancies.
• Strong ability to work on‑site in Kozhikode and function effectively within diverse clinical teams.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and adhering to institutional processes.
