Medical Lab Technician / Phlebotomist (Home Sample Collection)

About the role

Breathe Superspeciality Clinic is looking for a Medical Lab Technician who will also act as a Phlebotomist for home sample collection across Guwahati. You will travel to patients' residences, collect blood and other specimens safely, and ensure timely delivery to the clinic or partner laboratory.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes according to a daily schedule and collect blood samples.
• Perform venipuncture with minimal discomfort for all age groups, including elderly and paediatric patients.
• Label, barcode, and document each sample accurately – zero mismatch tolerance.
• Maintain cold chain integrity and follow the correct order of draw for vacutainers and tubes.
• Deliver specimens to the clinic or partner lab within the defined turnaround time.
• Collect payment (cash/UPI) and issue receipts where applicable.
• Assist with in‑clinic sample collection and basic laboratory procedures.
• Follow biomedical waste segregation and infection‑control protocols.
• Update the daily collection register or mobile app entries accurately.

Required profile

• DMLT, BMLT or equivalent laboratory technician qualification (mandatory).
• 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience preferred; fresh graduates with strong practical training may apply.
• Own two‑wheeler with a valid driving licence and a smartphone.
• Good knowledge of Guwahati city routes.
• Fluent in Assamese and Hindi; basic English reading/writing required.
• Presentable, polite, and punctual – you will be the face of the clinic at patients' homes.
