Medical Doctor – Full‑time Clinical Position

About the role

The Medical Doctor will join NEW INDORE HOSPITAL in Depalpur to deliver comprehensive patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This full‑time, on‑site position involves direct clinical responsibilities, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and participation in continuous professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Take detailed patient histories and perform thorough physical examinations.
• Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic tests to guide treatment plans.
• Manage inpatient and outpatient cases, prescribing medications and monitoring progress.
• Coordinate care with nursing staff and other clinicians, ensuring seamless patient flow.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical records in the hospital information system.
• Participate in daily clinical rounds and provide education to patients and families.
• Adhere to hospital protocols, ethical standards, and patient‑safety guidelines.
• Respond to emergency situations, fulfill on‑call duties, and engage in continuous learning activities.

Required profile

• Valid MBBS or equivalent degree with current registration with the relevant medical council.
• Proven clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow‑up care.
• Experience in hospital‑based practice, including inpatient and outpatient management; emergency or acute‑care experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site in Depalpur, manage rotating duties and on‑call schedules.
• Commitment to evidence‑based medicine, ethical practice, patient safety, and continuous professional development.
• Familiarity with medical documentation standards and basic computer literacy.
• Proficiency in local languages in addition to English; prior community or rural healthcare experience is advantageous.
