Medical Coding Trainer – Full‑time, On‑site in Coimbatore

About the role

The Medical Coding Trainer will join PUMO Technovation’s training campus in Coimbatore to design and deliver comprehensive medical coding programs. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on preparing learners for industry‑recognized certifications and placement opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update curriculum, lesson plans, and hands‑on practice sessions covering medical terminology and coding systems.
• Deliver classroom instruction, assess learner performance, and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare trainees for certification exams and coordinate placement activities.
• Maintain accurate records of trainee progress and collaborate with internal teams to align training with current industry standards.

Required profile

• Strong practical experience with medical coding systems and standards.
• Knowledge of health information management workflows in clinical or hospital settings.
• Relevant certification such as RHIT or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Health Information Management, Life Sciences, Nursing, or a related healthcare field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with medical coding systems (e.g., ICD‑10, CPT).
• Solid understanding of medical terminology.
• Experience in health information management processes.
